The Return is one of the most impressive jazz releases of 2018 and the support the futuristic album, Kamaal Williams will be arriving Down Under for three special shows.
Kamaal Williams is prolific South London artist Henry Wu’s second different pseudonym in as many years and is a natural evolution of Yussef Kamaal, the moniker that garnered Wu Breakthrough Act of 2017 at the 2017 Jazz FM Awards.
Kamaal Williams’ river is jazz but the artist has many tributaries leaking into funk, soul, hip hop and house genres. Alongside Wu for the tour will be the outfit’s talented live ensemble including Josh McKenzie on drums and Pete Martin on bass.
