Chambers’ book, Just Don’t Be a Dickhead, is a heartfelt and candid collection of stories from her life, offering readers a mix of humorous anecdotes and profound insights.

The title reflects Chambers’ straightforward approach to life, inspired by the best advice she’s ever received: just don’t be a dickhead. From her childhood in the Australian outback to her international success as a singer-songwriter, the book presents an unvarnished look at the experiences that have shaped her.

With a foreword by Keith Urban, the book has already garnered praise from notable figures like Paul Kelly and Kate Langbroek, who commend its honesty and humour.

To enhance the reader’s journey, Chambers has incorporated QR codes throughout the book that link to corresponding songs from her new album, Backbone. This innovative feature allows fans to experience her music and writing in tandem, deepening their connection to both her literary and musical works. The audiobook version further enriches the experience with Chambers reading and performing some of her songs.

Simultaneously, Chambers will release Backbone, which promises to reflect her musical evolution. The album features collaborations with familiar faces like her father, Bill Chambers, and long-time bassist Jeff McCormack, alongside new talents such as Sam Teskey of The Teskey Brothers and American drummer Brady Blade.

The title track, Backbone (The Desert Child), is the first single and sets the stage for an album that Chambers describes as a reflection of her entire life—both the beautiful and the challenging.

Chambers’ projects this October offer a unique blend of introspection and creativity, showcasing her ability to intertwine personal storytelling with musical artistry. As she shares her journey through both her book and album, fans can look forward to an immersive experience that highlights the raw and genuine essence of one of Australia’s most beloved artists.
