Jungle Book: The Next Chapter

junglebookpic-highres.jpg

Larger-than-life projected visuals and sing-along tunes invite kids to join in the action when Baloo and Mowgli meet again several years after Mowgli left the jungle. They recall Mowgli’s exciting escapades growing up with all the other animals – Bagheera, Kaa, Shere Kahn and the monkeys. In this ‘next chapter’ Baloo has a surprise for Mowgli – he wants to live in the city and become a Bear Star. But Mowgli has a surprise for Baloo too…

This concert-style show, performed in the beautiful Athenaeum Theatre, is part of Comedy for Kids during the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. It is a visual treat for kids of all ages and perfect for families looking for something fun to do during the school holidays!

Written and directed by Glenn Elston following his acclaimed success with long running adaptations of The Wind in the Willows and Alice in Wonderland. Music by Paul Norton, choreography by Sue-Ellen Shook, visuals and tech by Tim Bright and starring original Edinburgh Fringe Festival cast Benedict Kazlauskas as Baloo, Andrew Bongiorno as Mowgli and Callan Lewis as The Jackal.
