A Gathering For Gaza sees Julia Jacklin make her long-awaited return to Australian stages alongside Angie McMahon in her sole local show for the year.

Seven-time ARIA winner Genesis Owusu joins the bill with Tarab Ensemble reimagining classic Arabic music, Miss Kaninna fresh from touring the UK and Europe with Kneecap, Palestinian soul artist YARA, Folk Bitch Trio following their world tour run, and psych crew Mildlife.

DJ duties fall to Cut Copy, Harvey Sutherland, Merve and Milo Eastwood, while Moktar contributes a specially recorded set blending club music, techno and traditional Arabic sounds.

Throughout the day, voices from Palestinian, Jewish and human rights organisations will take the stage to share insights about their work and provide updates from the ground.

Speaking at the event are Ashley Killeen from MSF, Dr Bushra Othman from PANZMA, Mai Saif from Free Palestine Melbourne, Senator Mehreen Faruqi, Mohammad Othman from Olive Kids, Nasser Mashni from APAN, Rasha Abbas from PARA, Uncle Robbie Thorpe and Sarah Schwartz from Jewish Council of Australia.

Money raised will fund essential services in Gaza including medical care, food distribution and education programs, while also supporting Palestinians arriving in Australia. All four recipient organisations; Olive Kids, PANZMA, PARA and Médecins Sans Frontières Australia, work directly on these critical relief efforts.
