*John Montesante Quintet* is delighted to launch JMQ’s 2026 Jazz year, featuring outstanding Jazz Songstress MEL SEARLE with stellar guest saxophonist, ANTON DELECCA on Thursday, JAN 29, 2026, at the welcoming Golden Gate, South Melbourne at 7pm.
MEL is a gifted and distinctive Jazz vocalist. With an innate talent for vocal improvisation and a exquisite vocal warmth and depth of tone, Mel’s vocals are luminescent and empathetic, in her own inimitable style.
ANTON is a very fine jazz saxophonist, composer and recording artist, who has worked with many great artists, and has been associated with John’s bands most of his life. The JMQ line up shall also comprise Michael Harding (piano), Nick Haywood(d.bass), Tony Floyd (drums ) and John Montesante (horns).
