JAZZ: On Thursday, APRIL 2, 2026 JMQ Jazz Ensemble features fabulous swing-queen GEORGIA BROOKS, with guest saxophonist JAYDEN BLOCKLEY and all-star JMQ line up of Nick Haywood (d.bass), Tony Floyd (drums), Darrin Archer (piano) and John Montesante (horns).

*GEORGIA: Imbued with a decidedly vintage tone, a natural elegance and a great respect for the classic repertoire of the 1920s and 30s, Georgia’s foray into the world of swing & jazz, developed with ease, with her natural flair for interpreting many of the well known (and some lesser-known) works of the early twentieth century, 20s, 30s and 40s. She has a deep affection for swing music and is a familiar face in the city’s jazz clubs, and has graced the stages of notable festivals.
*JAYDEN is one of the stellar talents of the younger generation, and is a name to watch. After excelling at James Morrison Academy, he freelanced, recorded, and joined the all-star RAAF band. JMQ Ensemble is delighted to engage him from time to time.
