On Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 7pm, JMQ Jazz Ensemble is delighted to again feature jazz songstress, RALEIGH WILLIAMS to our jazz-loving audience with Tony Hicks on tenor saxophone.
*Raleigh is one of Melbourne’s most respected vocalists, with years of experience performing in Australia and internationally (Italy, Turkey, France, Indonesia, New Zealand), as well as studying with some of the world’s finest vocal coaches. She will perform some great Jazz standards, with a smattering of her beloved French tunes. Raleigh has featured across different festival and concert platforms such as Byron Bay Bluesfest, Melbourne International Jazz Festival, Stonnington Jazz Festival, St Kilda Blues Festival, Melbourne Recital Centre, Meatstock, The Tote, Memo Hall, Jazzlab, Paris Cat, Palais Hepburn, Federation Square – to name a few.
*Tony is a highly respected Melbourne-based woodwind artist, who has performed across Australia + internationally since the 1970s. He maintains a dynamic jazz and experimental improvisation practice, and works across a range of commercial contexts including TV and recording studios, theatre orchestras, big bands, function bands and productions by small arts organisations.
