Furst Media is a music, entertainment and fashion-based publishing company, with seven in-house titles, including Beat Magazine, 100%, Fashion Journal, The Brag, Mixdown, The Big Ticket and Mini Bar. We are looking for a Trainee for a position in Accounts Receivable and Distribution. The Trainee will be enrolled in Certificate III Business Administration at a recognised training organisation or TAFE.
This position would be ideal for a school leaver who is looking to get some hands on experience and gain a nationally recognised qualification. It will also provide the successful applicant with the opportunity to meet and make contacts in the music, entertainment, fashion and hospitality industries.
Main duties will include:
- Chasing outstanding payments
- Allocating payments
- Morning banking duties
- Updating company records
- Resolving overdue accounts
- Develop strong, sustainable relationships with delivery drivers & clients
- Send print quantity orders and pallet breakdowns
- Liaise with printers to ensure quality control
- Organise freight
- Survey and maintain distribution of all publications
- Update and maintain databases
- Effectively coordinate delivery drivers
