Joanne McNally brings fresh chaos and comedy to Melbourne with brand new show

Joanne McNally
words by staff writer

Irish comedian Joanne McNally is bringing her brand new show Pinotphile to Australian stages in April.

Fresh off the back of her record-breaking tour The Prosecco Express, McNally returns with another hour of chaotic storytelling about her perpetually single life. Variety recently named her as One to Watch, and it’s not hard to see why when you consider her knack for turning personal disasters into comedy gold.

Pinotphile promises to be another wild ride through McNally’s world of situationships, revenge plots, frenemies and rejection. Her comedy style has been described as terrifyingly funny by Evening Standard and joyously nuts by Irish Examiner, which pretty much sums up what audiences can expect from this new show. Still single and still unfertilised (her words, not ours), she’s armed with fresh war stories from the dating trenches.

Joanne McNally: Pinotphile

Beyond her stand-up shows, McNally co-hosts the award-winning podcast My Therapist Ghosted Me, which has built a dedicated following. She’s also made memorable appearances on UK television, including Taskmaster, The Jonathan Ross Show and The Big Fat Quiz of Everything. Her investigative comedy series for BBC Sounds tackles the important questions nobody asked for, like Who Replaced Avril Lavigne and Do Furbys Spy On Us.

Joanne McNally’s comedy resonates because she’s not afraid to lean into the chaos of modern life. Her material draws from real experiences navigating the minefield of contemporary dating and relationships, all delivered with an irreverent and ridiculous edge that keeps audiences laughing from start to finish.

Australian fans won’t want to miss this opportunity to catch one of Ireland’s most exciting comedy exports doing what she does best; turning life’s messiest moments into brilliant entertainment.

Presale tickets go on sale Thursday 13 November at 10am, running until Friday 14 November at 9am. General public tickets are available from Friday 14 November at 10am.
