So then, what’s the band name and what you ‘do’ in the band?

“JJSymon+1” – I play the part of JJ Symon and co-ordinate the +1

Bearing the terrible clichéd nature of this question, what do you reckon people will say you sound like?

I hope they say “a raw, folky, rhythm n blues two-piece with great tunes who play with energetic abandonment”…but any clichéd compliment will do.

What do you love about making music?

Seeing people dig the sounds and tunes that I write and play. An attentive audience and free drinks sweeten the deal though.

What do you hate about the music industry?

The term “industry” and the inference that people making music have to play the “industry” to be seen/heard.

If you could travel back in time and show one of your musical heroes your stuff,

Perhaps I’d visit John Lennon, however time travel can be a treacherous road.

If you could assassinate one person or band from popular music, who would it and why?

Mark Chapman, refer to previous answer.

What can a punter expect from your live show?

“a raw, folky, rhythm n blues two-piece with great tunes who play with energetic abandonment”.

What you got to sell CD-wise?

Three (awesome) albums (New River, Black White & Grey and Mayday) already available online and at gigs.

And there’s a brand spanking new album called Open 4 Debate which will only be available at the launch.

When and where is the gig and with who?

JJ Symon vs Kit&Con @ the Northcote Social Club, Wed 3rd August, dual album launch presented by Melting Pot and EOI Productions. Support from Sun God Replica + Jakksen Fish & The Unholy Racket, music from 8pm sharrrrp.

Anything else to add?

The above gig is also a farewell show before we head off overseas to Europe. So massive thank you to anyone and everyone who came out to one of my shows and/or legally bought my music in the last three years.
