Jerkfest drops huge lineup of local acts

In its fifth instalment, Geelong’s Jerkfest has unveiled a lineup jam-packed with local, interstate and international acts.

Headlining Jerkfest next year will be the UK’s Robyn Hitchcock. Hitchcock will be heading from Nashville to Geelong to jam out with a set usually performed alongside the Egyptians or the Soft Boys. Backing him up on stage will be Aussies Davey Lane, Jake Robertson and Alex Macfarlane, banding together under the intriguing name ‘The Psychedelic Trams’.

Hopping over from a much smaller pond will be Tasmania’s The Native Cats, fresh from their performance at Meredith. Fan faves The Goon Sax are also set to take the stage, heading down the coast from Queensland. Of course, some Melbourne greats will be making an appearance as well, including The UV Race, Krakatau, Straightjacket Nation, Civic and Constant Mongrel.
