The Gerswin Room is set to witness history ...

After an agonisingly long hiatus, Australia’s beloved indie rock darlings, Jebediah, have burst back onto the scene with their electrifying new single, Gum Up The Bearings. The track, their first release in over a decade, serves as a raucous reminder of why they were a household name in the Australian music scene. You can catch them at The Espy’s own Gershwin on November 10.

Keep up with the latest music news, festivals, interviews and reviews here.

Jebediah first formed in 1994 in Perth, Western Australia. Consisting of Kevin Mitchell (vocals/guitar), Chris Daymond (guitar), Vanessa Thornton (bass), and Brett Mitchell (drums), the band quickly made a name for themselves with their infectious melodies, sharp lyrics, and an unapologetic, rebellious spirit.

Gum Up The Bearings is a triumphant return to form for the band. The track is a perfect blend of their trademark sound, featuring Mitchell’s distinctive vocals and a wall of roaring guitars. It’s a sonic rollercoaster that captures the essence of their glory days, revitalized for a new era.

To make the return even sweeter, Jebediah is hitting the road for a nationwide tour to celebrate the new single. This tour, like their music, promises to be an unforgettable experience. Fans will get the chance to relive the ’90s and early 2000s, singing along to classics and headbanging to the new single.

Your favourite band in the Gershwin Room, pre-gig beers in the Star Wars bar, stumbling in from the seaside… everyone has a story to tell about The Espy. 140 years of stories and secrets are hidden in its walls, from budding romances, to celebrations, break ups and make ups. If the walls could talk, they’d tell some unbelievable tales.
