Texas-bred jazz collective Snarky Puppy is gearing up for a major return to Australian and New Zealand stages in 2025, celebrating the 10th anniversary of their groundbreaking album We Like It Here.

Grammy-winning ensemble Snarky Puppy will tour Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, and Auckland, offering fans the chance to experience some of the band’s most iconic tracks live, as well as new material from their forthcoming remix and remaster of the album.

Released in 2014, We Like It Here became a defining work for Snarky Puppy, with songs like Lingus, Shofukan, and What About Me becoming fan favourites.

The album has amassed over 160 million streams and views, solidifying the band’s reputation as one of the most dynamic live acts in jazz and fusion. The upcoming tour will see the collective perform these classic tracks, alongside gems from their expansive discography.

Formed in 2004 by bassist and primary composer Michael League, Snarky Puppy started as a college project at the University of North Texas. Over the years, the collective has evolved into a genre-defying powerhouse, blending funk, rhythm & blues, classic soul, jazz, and fusion, with up to 19 musicians regularly rotating through the band. Their sound has drawn praise for its inventiveness and versatility, earning them five Grammy Awards and a devoted global fanbase.

Known for their high-energy live shows, Snarky Puppy has played some of the world’s most prestigious festivals, including New Orleans Jazz Fest, Newport Jazz Festival, and Australia’s Bluesfest Byron Bay. Their reputation as one of the best live bands in the world has been reinforced with each performance, drawing fans from all corners of the globe.

To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of We Like It Here, Snarky Puppy will release We Like It Here – Remixed, Remastered, Reimagined on December 6, 2024.
