Brannan released his debut album goddamned in 2008, but first gained attention with his role in John Cameron Mitchell’s 2006 indie film Shortbus, where he performed his original song Soda Shop. From there, Jay released a string of albums, all of which topped the iTunes Singer/Songwriter & Billboard Heatseekers charts. His new album includes the song My Love, My Love from the motion picture Cloudburst, which earned Brannan a Canadian Genie Award nomination for best original song.
