Japanese Film Festival returns to Australia this October for its landmark 29th edition.

Cinema lovers can look forward to discovering the latest voices in Japanese filmmaking when the Japanese Film Festival touches down across five Australian cities later this year. Presented by The Japan Foundation, Sydney, this year’s festival promises a diverse lineup spanning dramas, anime, comedies and everything in between.

From big-screen epics to intimate character studies, the Japanese Film Festival continues to showcase the range and creativity of both contemporary releases and classic Japanese storytelling.
