Under the direction of Jaime Martín, musicians from ANAM and the MSO Chorus join the MSO to perform some of the most arresting music ever written.
Brahms’ Violin Concerto is a cornerstone of the violin and the perfect way to showcase the brilliance of MSO’s 2025 Artist in Residence, Canadian James Ehnes who The Times, UK refer to as “A violinist in a class of his own”. Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloé is an extraordinary vision of what the composer called ‘the Greece of my dreams’. The ballet was considered by Ravel to be a ‘choreographic symphony’ for orchestra and wordless chorus featuring gorgeous melodies and sensuous Impressionistic harmonies. James Ehnes will hold a masterclass at Iwaki Auditorium on Friday 11 April.
