Bornstein studied Jazz Voice Performance at the Victorian College of the Arts and was awarded a UK Masters scholarship for which she completed a thesis examining the relationship between music, arts and conflict.

Upon returning to Melbourne, Bornstein has been a regular performer at some of the city’s best jazz venues including the Lido Jazz Room, Bennetts Lane Jazz Club and The Boite.

Her Melbourne International Jazz Festival debut will see Bornstein perform songs by composers such as George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Jimmy van Heusen and Antonio Carlos Jobin.
