Animals Dancing are very happy to finally present the Naarm live debut of Mood Hut MVP, Jack J, Thursday Dec 4 at The Night Cat.
The Pender Street Stepper will bring his dreamy, folk-forward disco, melancholic AOR, poolside dubwise & yacht-adjacent, blue eyed balearica to life at the Night Cat, performing with full band ahead of taking on the Supernatural Amphitheatre at Meredith.
Following the huge 2022 debut LP Opening The Door and last year’s acclaimed Blue Desert, Jack has toured extensively across the EU and US, including supports for Jessica Pratt and shows with Suzanne Kraft + more. His sound has continually evolved over the past decade, from the new age minimalism of Mother Official, to the optimistic crossover of 2014’s organic house gem Looking Forward To You, and now to his current trajectory, honing further in on his influences and roots, with breezy echoes of Arthur Russell, Linda Di Franco, Black Ark Studios and Ned Doheny, all filtered through Jack’s signature VHS haze.
