Two world-class bands from North America are making their way to Australia later this year. Canadian prog/djent outfit Intervals are joined by Texan Polyphia this September and are sure to show off many unexpected ways to use a guitar.

You won’t want to miss the pairing of Intervals and Polyphia. The tour runs through Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. See Intervals and Polyphia together at the Corner Hotel on Saturday September 22, tickets are available Thursday June 21 via Destroy All Lines.

Intervals were last in Australia in 2016 and are returning for their first headline tour. Founded in 2011 and now run solely by Aaron Marshall, Intervals in a window into Marshall’s mind as both a guitarist and composer. His latest release The Way Forward is an example of Marshall’s ability to combine the traditional with modern instrumental music whilst creating catchy melodies.

This will be Polyphia’s first time in Australia. Their album Muse was self-released in 2014 and made the top ten on both the Internet Albums and the Hard Rock Albums Billboard Charts. Releasing the follow up Renaissance via Equal Vision Records in 2016, the bands average age is only just 21. Despite their young age, they’ve shared stages with Animals as Leaders, Periphery, The Contortionist and more.
