The Ohio rock powerhouse will be bringing The Algorithm Tour down under.

Filter will be coming to Australia to play six wild shows this April – their first headlining performances in the country since 2000.

Fronted by musical mastermind Richard Patrick, the band will be digging deep into their vast catalogue to bring three decades’ worth of unforgettable hits to stages from Melbourne to Perth.

  • April 4 – Croxton Bandroom, Melbourne
  • April 6 – Metro Theatre, Sydney

Fans will hear hits from the new album including For The Beaten, Obliteration and Face Down, as well as heavy-hitting grunge classics from the band’s earlier releases such as Hey Man, Nice Shot, Take A Picture, (Can’t You) Trip Like I Do, and Where Do We Go From Here.

After touring as a guitarist for Nine Inch Nails in the 90s, Patrick decided to forge his own path, teaming up with guitarist and programmer Brian Liesegang to form Filter. In 1995 they dropped their debut album, Short Bus, which reached platinum status and featured the break-out hit Hey Man, Nice Shot.

Now, with seven albums behind him, Patrick has reunited with Liesegang after 21 years, as well as earlier members Jonathan Radke and Elias Mallin. Their latest project has been described as a reboot of the original band, hearkening back to their grungey, electronic-influenced sound.

The band will be touring on the back of their long-anticipated latest album, The Algorithm, which came out last month.

With more than 1.7 million monthly Spotify listeners, multiple platinum albums and a dedicated global fanbase, Filter are poised to bring an intense and energetic live show when they tour this April.
