Following sold out shows across the US and with a single going Gold in the States, Newcastle locals are heading back to Australia for their first headlining tour in three years.

Indie band Vacations are arriving back in Australia following a sell-out debut tour of the United States. With an exploding US fanbase, the Vacations’ tour of the states saw over 14,000 tickets sold, multiple venue upgrades and shows added across 32 dates throughout the country. Their arrival on the international stage has seen the four piece band from Newcastle cement themselves as one Australia’s largest music exports.

Racking up an insane 500 million + screams globally to date, their single Young has been certified Gold in the US, Canada and Poland. An incredible feat for any musician, it has demonstrated Vacations’ broad international appeal.

Their tour of the homeland will see them travelling across Australia throughout July, stopping over in Melbourne, Hobart, Fremantle, Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney, before concluding their tour in their hometown of Newcastle. “I’m eager to finally showcase what we’ve been achieving overseas in our own backyard,” states the band’s vocalist, Campbell Burns. “This tour has been a long time coming, and it’ll be even more special because of that.”

This is their first time touring back in Australia in over three years and they’re excited to be back and performing in front of home crowds. An incredible live show that has seen them sell out venues across the States, they’re keen to bring this tour home to their Australian fans. The band’s international acclaim has also seen them perform shows to crowds across Paris, Berlin and London.
