The Gurus recently released their long-awaited first studio album in twelve years, Chariot of the Gods which debuted at seventh on the ARIA Album Chart and second on the ARIA Australian Album Chart, making it the band’s highest charting studio album in over 28 years.
Their latest single ‘World of Pain’ is a bursting rock’n’roll number that tells the story of a raucous night on the town, where the song’s subject continues to make the same dubious decisions when out and about. Hoodoo Gurus recently finished their rescheduled-to-buggery 40th-anniversary tour in September, which saw them rock the Sidney Myer Music Bowl with The Dandy Warhols and Even.
