Sacramento’s Hobo Johnson is bringing his alternative hip-hop to Australia this December for Falls Festival. However, he’s just announced his first Australian headline show with bandmates The Lovemakers for Saturday January 5 at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel. Tickets go on sale Tuesday September 25.

Hobo Johnson, a.k.a. Frank Lopes Jr, will perform his signature blend of spoken-word hip hop and alternative rock.

In 2017, Hobo Johnson released The Rise of Hobo Johnson which he wrote while living in his Toyota Corolla, hence the pseudonym. Earlier this year, he released his ‘Peach Scone’ single as a video entry for NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest. In less than 2 months, ‘Peach Scone’ racked up 14.6 million views on Facebook and YouTube.
