Bastings Street in Northcote shuts down for an open-air street party powered by Zepherin Saint’s Tribe Soundsystem. Under the summer sun, expect soulful house from the king himself alongside sets from Darcy Justice, Rah, and Emelyne b2b Lori. Food vendors supply ample sustenance throughout the outdoor session.
High Note activates all rooms plus the sidewalk, with The Studio broadcasting an eclectic soundtrack onto the High Street deck while the bar keeps refreshments flowing. Space 2 gets worked over by local favourites Lay Down The Groove, Afrodisiac and Caucasian Opportunities before Baile Funk collective Inbraza closes proceedings with frenetic bass, booty bouncing and body rolling for the galera.
Additional acts include Xavier (UK) b2b Jimi Dawg, Afreckle b3b Finding Figaro, Club De Migo, Poli-Pearl and more spread across the venues and timeframes. Every square inch gets activated with different frequencies and vibes as the night progresses.
Crown Ruler’s quarter-century milestone year gets wrapped with this community-focused celebration of diversity, openness and exchange. From sunset through to sundown the following day, the neighbourhood block becomes one continuous party space where loved ones can glide into 2026 together.
Serious DJ weapons plug into Northcote Theatre’s transformed space, while the street party vibes keep Bastings humming and High Note’s multiple rooms maintain their own atmospheres. It’s a fusion of aural flavours curated by selectors who understand how to make rooms move and feel, with every hour offering different combinations and sounds across the three-venue sprawl.
