Hidden Tunes《弦外之影》
Inspired by the second wave of #MeToo movement in East Asia, “Hidden Tunes” is a musical about the bystanders in all of us: Can you tell when a friend is in need?
Our story centres around two friends at a prestigious music academy, brought together be their shared passion for music and composition. When one of them is sexually harassed by a respected professor, they have to navigate the emotional turmoil that follows, and find courage again in music and friendship.
“Hidden Tunes” is a part of La Mama’s Festival of Mother Tongues. This new theatre festival features 17 shows presented in 13 different languages. Hidden Tunes is the only Mandarin show in the mix.
