It’s no secret that Brunswick’s share of Sydney Road is a music lover’s fairy tale. The strip is adorned with some of the best live music venues in the city and forms a bustling community of music, comedy and anything in between.
Stay Gold are deservedly known as one of the best of the best, constantly providing nights of unforgettable entertainment, phenomenal drinks and mouth-watering food (thanks to the help of their buddies at Ollie’s Pizza).

All The Small Sings karaoke competition

All singers will have a chance to sing two songs in weekly heats, with heat winners advancing to the grand finale for a shot at the $3000. That’s right! Real life money. It’s and punk rock revival. The genre is alive and well in the streets of Melbourne, and punk rock trio Maizie are hitting up Stay Gold to prove it. They’re bringing their new single Make Believe with them, primed for a night of face-melting and drum-belting, and have some of the most punk support in the land. This one is going to be massive. Metal powerhouse Full of Hell are about to embark on the Australian leg of their tour, and they’re stopping by Stay Gold. Well, they’re actually stopping by twice. Their first show has completely sold out, meaning if you want a chance to revel in what will undoubtedly be one of the heaviest shows of the month, get busy buying your ticket. With them are Thou in what will be their first visit to Australia. Get there, metalheads!
Stay Gold All Stars: Ashes of the Wake

Lamb of God’s studio album Ashes of the Wake is a metal staple, and has stood the test of time since its early 2000s release. Peaking at 27 on the Billboard 200 is no mean feat for any album, let alone a metal album, meaning Ashes of the Wake’s praises will be rightly-sung in full.
Stay Gold has their All Stars – Jordan Dunbar and Darcy Carroll from Starve, Josh Clinch from The Gloom in the Corner and Earth Caller, Callum Grange from Blight and Sweet Temper, and general all-star Maddie Wheeler taking the stage on August 23 to celebrate 20 years of the album. High Vis

Post-punk 5-piece High Vis are headlining what’s going to be a cracker of a show at Stay Gold on August 27. Another supporting act for Speed will be lighting up Stay Gold through the week. On August 28, you can catch Pain of Truth headlining their own show alongside Fuse, with support from Awol, Thantu Thikha and Tarnished. Feed Her To The Sharks

Okay so we know this one technically isn’t in August, but we HAD to include it. An 8 year-long hiatus has come to an end, and Feed Her To The Sharks are ready to blow the roof off of Stay Gold. Their uncompromising brand of metalcore will combine perfectly with the punchy support of Brisbane-based Wildheart and the stylishly-punk Play Drive.
