Music Victoria has launched #GetVaxxed4Vic to help save the state's live music industry - and our lives - and it couldn't be easier to take part.
Did you know that in 2018, Victoria had more live music venues per-capita than anywhere else in the world?
If that makes you as proud as it makes us, then Music Victoria wants you to encourage your friends to get vaccinated with their #GetVaxxed4Vic campaign.
#GetVaxxed4Vic uses social media to encourage Victoria’s music professionals and music lovers to get vaccinated, as the music industry has been among the hardest hit sectors by COVID-19 lockdowns.
Victorians between 16 and 29-years-old are eligible to receive Pfizer vaccines from Wednesday August 25, so there’s never been a better time to spread the word.

Continued lockdowns pose an obvious threat to the survival of the live music industry in Victoria, but Music Victoria’s campaign is especially timely, given power is now largely in the hands of younger Melburnians to make a difference.
Time is of the essence. In February 2021, three in five workers are considering leaving the music industry as live music trades at under 4% of pre-COVID levels. As Music Victoria notes, every person that gets vaccinated brings us a step closer to reopening and saving Victoria’s live music scene.
