“Lucky Ent is really excited to be launching the first-ever Hello Sunshine Music and Food Festival at the iconic Caribbean Gardens, inside the Caribbean Park precinct,” says director Luke Udorovic. “This is the first festival ever to be held in the gardens that have played host to millions of families, spanning across generations and we hope the local community will embrace the event.”

Situated at the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges, Caribbean Gardens is a huge, picturesque venue spanning 179,000 sqm of versatile green space. Established over 200,000 sqm of on-water space, the venue is privately owned by Melbourne’s Spooner Family. Renowned by locals as the former home to the Caribbean Market, the destination is also the original home of Moomba.

Amy Shark will perform hot on the heels of her ‘See U Somewhere Australia’ tour and is excited to be a part of the festival. “I can’t wait to see you at the Hello Sunshine Festival, I love travelling to new places and meeting the locals so come and say hi,” says Amy.

Aussie icons The Cat Empire will make an exciting return to the stage, with the band made up of originals Felix Riebl and Ollie McGill. With a history of multiple platinum records, awards, sold out tours and over 250 million streams, Felix and Ollie are welcoming a fresh new era for the band. “We’ve had this great run of 20 years with the group, but The Cat Empire still has a place to play in a new moment,” says Felix.

Murray Cook, the original red wiggle, is now a DJ and will headline the festival premiering his skills on the decks to an audience of up to 10,000. Not only does he mix a mean fruit salad, but he also does a mean mix on the decks! Festival goers will be more than wiggling to his unmissable set. “I am very excited to be moving into the world of DJing, it’s great to connect with the fans that grew up with The Wiggles in a different way,” says Murray.
