Head on down to Chi Wow Wah Town: The doof that makes a difference for MS Australia

Chi Wow Wah Town
Words by Zoe Markos

Victoria's beloved Chi Wow Wah Town festival is back on 23-25 February next year. We've missed it!

Since 2013, electronic music festival Chi Wow Wah Town has been held in Victoria in the stunning surrounds of Winton Wetlands, offering one of the best intimate techno-focused festivals on the Australian calendar.

While the 2024 musical headliners are yet to be announced for this three-day journey, it’s more than likely tickets will sell out in advance. Chi Wow Wah Town always manages to book a fantastic range of veteran international DJs and emerging favourites that keep festival-goers entertained for hours on end.

Keep up with the latest music news, features, festivals, interviews and reviews here.

As with every festival that’s worth its salt, Chi Wow Wah Town also offers an inclusive experience that allows those who attend to enjoy a diverse range of music, arts, food experiences, various performance, games, wellness activities, workshops, nature, and of course – camping.

There’s always a range of contemporary electronic, traditional rhythms and atmospheric chill-out sounds to compliment some of the best art installations and stage designs you’re likely to find at Victorian festivals – and that’s really saying something.

Alas, Chi Wow Wah Town is worth supporting specifically because it’s more than just your typical festival. With the fun comes a deeper message – it’s also been raising funds for MS Australia for the past six years.

The latest data shows 33,335 Australians were living with MS in 2021. As anyone who’s known someone with multiple sclerosis can attest, it’s a devastating and incurable neurological condition. MS Australia provides crucial work in supporting sufferers and their families.

Tickets for the event are out now and are available for purchase here. The festival is also offering volunteer opportunities where you can find out more details on this at their official website.
