Few artists have shaped pop culture quite like Grace Jones.
The Jamaican singer, supermodel and Bond villain will make her WOMADelaide debut as the Saturday night headliner when the festival returns to Adelaide’s Botanic Park/Tainmuntilla from 6–9 March 2026. At 77, Jones remains one of the most commanding performers on the planet, her theatrical stage presence and distinctive voice showing no signs of slowing down.
Jones emerged from Manhattan’s legendary Studio 54 in the late 1970s and has since become a music legend, gay icon and art-rock symbol. Tracks like Pull Up to the Bumper, My Jamaican Guy and Slave to the Rhythm have cemented her influence across four decades of pop music, from new wave to Beyoncé’s Renaissance album.
