Golden Plains Eighteen has just unveiled its lineup for March 2026 and it's absolutely stacked.
The beloved Victorian festival returns to Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre with Basement Jaxx bringing their legendary live show.
After a decade away from touring, the UK house legends are dusting off their full live production complete with dancers, singers and all the bells and whistles. Expect massive hits like Where’s Your Head At, Romeo and Red Alert across two days and two nights on the festival’s signature single stage. Golden Plains Eighteen will also welcome Cut Copy opening the weekend, Norwegian art-pop duo Smerz making their Australian debut, and Marlon Williams performing songs from his te reo Māori album Te Whare Tīwekaweka alongside The Yarra Benders and local Kapa Haka group Ngā Mātai Pūrua.

The rest of the lineup reads like a masterclass in genre-hopping excellence. Ty Segall brings his Freedom Band for guitar heroics, Obongjayar delivers spiritual punk and afrobeat, Brooklyn duo Water From Your Eyes serve up their genre-blurring approach, and rising UK soul vocalist Jalen Ngonda showcases that once-in-a-generation voice. Local favourites include supergroup Bleak Squad featuring Mick Harvey, Mick Turner, Adalita and Marty Brown, while the electronic side gets serious attention from house pioneer François K performing a live stems set and triple-deck virtuoso Djrum.
Deeper into the lineup sits plenty more gold. Atlanta punks Upchuck bring the mosh energy, Baltimore’s Nourished by Time offers velvet-voiced post-r’n’b, and sibling duo Frost Children deliver hyperpop chaos. Disco veterans Crazy P hit the decks in DJ mode, while Italian selector Paquita Gordon takes punters deep into Sunday night with strictly vinyl selections. The local talent shines bright too with Kamilaroi/Samoan artist Becca Hatch, Morayfield rapper Sidney Phillips, Melbourne’s Georgia Knight fresh from releasing debut album Beanpole, and punky duo Public Figures.
The festival maintains its signature single-stage format with Mother Nature handling lighting duties, and ticket prices include all the usual Golden Plains perks like parking, camping and booking fees. As an independent festival with zero commercial sponsors, every ticket sold supports regional organisations in the Golden Plains district. The second round of the ballot system runs until 10:18pm AEDT on 20 October, giving punters a stress-free shot at securing their spot for what’s shaping up to be one of 2026’s essential festival weekends.
