For the uninitiated, Golden Plains Number Nineteen promises the same formula that’s kept fans coming back for nearly two decades: two days and two nights camped out at the Supernaturalist Amphitheatre, with free range camping, BYO booze, zero commercial sponsors and a strict No D‑‑khead Policy keeping the vibes intact.

Golden Plains 2026
Golden Plains Eighteen ran across the March long weekend, with the hillside packing out for another round of the festival’s trademark chaos.
Marlon Williams and The Yarra Benders headlined a huge Saturday night slot, bringing out Ngā Mātai Pūrua for a haka that reportedly left the whole amphitheatre dead silent, while Basement Jaxx tore through a full live set alongside sets from Cut Copy, BADBADNOTGOOD and Ty Segall. Obongjayar, Djrum, Crazy P and OK Williams kept the energy going well into the early hours, with Belfast-via-Berlin selector Sally C stepping in for a late change after Paquita Gordon pulled out of her Sunday night spot.
It’s never just been about who’s on stage, either.
Past coverage of the festival has pointed to the DIY spirit running through the whole weekend, from elaborately themed campsites to total strangers pitching in to sort out whatever chaos the day throws up, all under the shadow of the festival’s long-running no-dickheads ethos.

Being a Subscriber and entering the Ballot remains the surest way to land tickets to Golden Plains, according to organisers, so anyone hoping to be in the paddock this time round will want to get their entry in well before the deadline hits.
