Inspired by a lack of opportunities for light and installation artists, Globelight Festival was founded and curated by Melbourne light/installation artist James Tapscott and Sydney artist Sam Mitchell-Fin. The festival aims to become an integral part of Melbourne culture, creating opportunities for artists to exhibit their technicolour, contemporary works at what will become, hopefully, an annual event.
Globelight will feature 17 artists, including Sydney artist and designer Vincent Buret and acclaimed German installation artist Max Sudhues.
