Two days of glazed chaos, wild flavours and fresh traders are set to take over the city’s favourite market this June.

Donut devotees, your moment has arrived. The Melbourne Donut Festival is back at Queen Victoria Market on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 June, transforming the historic sheds into a gloriously sticky wonderland of fried dough, creative toppings and pure indulgence.

Now in its annual glory, this year’s festival is bigger and more ambitious than ever, with 20 traders slinging everything from cult classics to boundary-pushing hybrids.

Expect flame-brûléed custard bombs, mac and cheese donuts, French crullers and even anchovy zeppole alongside gluten-free options and chewy mochi creations. Paired with coffee, roving entertainment and plenty of family-friendly vibes, it’s set to be a sugar-fuelled celebration of Melbourne’s unstoppable food scene.

New traders are bringing serious heat this year. Kare Melbourne drops matcha and earl grey nama-style donuts alongside their cult-favourite beef curry pan, while Demochi Donuts and The Puff Puff Stand introduce chewy Japanese mochi and West African-inspired puff puffs loaded with pistachio and chocolate.

Mr Zeppole serves traditional Italian treats three ways (including a brave anchovy number), and Alonso’s goes full dessert excess with Kinder Bueno and Dubai Chocolate donuts.

Returning favourites keep the bar high. Pasta Face returns with their legendary hot honey chicken parma donut, Crème Brûlée Donuts bring the theatrical flame-topped custard, and Shortstop Coffee & Donuts deliver their artisanal yeast-raised classics. Add St. Gerry’s loukoumades, Jamm’d Dessert Bar and G-Free Donuts into the mix and you’ve got something for every craving.

More than just a sugar hit, the festival highlights Melbourne’s vibrant independent food culture and the Queen Vic Market’s role as the city’s culinary heart. Whether you’re a classic cinnamon chaser or ready to adventure into savoury donut territory, this is the sweetest weekend on the 2026 calendar.

Do not miss out – bring your appetite, your friends and maybe a stretchy waistband. The Melbourne Donut Festival is calling.
