Get in the New Year’s groove with Surprise Chef at Soul-A-Go-Go

Soul-A-Go-Go
words by kaya martin

The Brunswick Ballroom’s New Year’s Eve party will be a soulful romp featuring a live performance by the talented Surprise Chef.

2022 has done us well. This New Year’s Eve will be the first one in a long time that’s completely restriction free, meaning the party will be rockin’ until the early hours. And what better way to celebrate the future than with a blast from the past?

At the Brunswick Ballroom’s NYE bash, it’s all about soul. Some of the city’s finest deejays will be taking over the decks. Richie 1250, Andrew Young, Vince Peach, Sugar D, DJ Lady Soul and Stuckey will be spinning disco beats until 3am, with a live performance from the jazz-funk ensemble Surprise Chef as the countdown nears.

The Brunswick Ballroom New Year’s Eve

  • Soul-A-Go-Go will take place on January 31st at 8pm featuring soul deejays and a live performance by Surprise Chef
  • Come on down to celebrate the last day of the year in style

Straight out of Coburg, the group is known for their meticulous musical knowledge and go-getting DIY spirit. They will be giving a special touch to the evening, adding the kind of energy that only comes with live music.

Surprise Chef are no strangers to the stage. Fresh off a gig at Meredith and a massive year of touring, the boys will be bringing their buttery smooth grooves and laid back 1970s vibe. Grab your friends, dress to the nines, and put on your dancing shoes, because there’s no excuse not to boogie down when these guys are around.

2023, we’re coming for ya.
