Celebrating 50 years since the release of his first hit single, 1967’s (I Wanna) Testify, George Clinton and The Parliment Funkadelic have announced two surprise anniversary shows before taking to The Caloundra Music Festival.
“It’s pretty exciting for us to be in Australia again, so we decided to bring the Sunshine Coast trip forward and start celebrating 50 years here with two more shows. We wanna make the most of coming all this way,” said Clinton.
From psych rock to fully fledged funk, George Clinton has released a huge amount of critically lauded material throughout his career, landing him in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame alongside other legends James Brown and Sly Stone.
