Gen-Z rap’s most polarising star Nettspend is heading to Australia for the first time

Words by staff writer

Virginia rapper Nettspend is bringing his brand of experimental hip hop to Australia for his debut headline tour.

The 18-year-old has built a cult following since going viral in late 2023, when a snippet of his track Drankdrankdrank spread across social media and sparked heated debate about the future of hip hop. His debut mixtape Bad Ass Fucking Kid landed on the Billboard 200 when it dropped in December 2024, and he’s since racked up more than 323 million streams globally. Now he’s locked in three Australian dates for January 2026.

Nettspend Australian Tour

  • Eatons Hill Hotel, Brisbane, 17 January
  • Enmore Theatre, Sydney, 20 January
  • Festival Hall, Melbourne, 22 January

Nettspend’s sound sits within the jerk subgenre of hip hop, built on distorted 808s, glitchy Auto-Tune vocals and hazy synth textures that feel more like a fever dream than a traditional rap record. He’s affiliated with the underground collective 1c34 and signed to Lil Bibby’s Grade A Productions through Interscope Records. The fashion world has taken notice too, with the rapper attending Vogue World in Paris and fronting a Heaven by Marc Jacobs campaign.

VIP Experience packages are available, which include early venue entry ahead of general admission. Tickets go on sale 12 December at 11am local time, with Mastercard and Live Nation presales running from 11 December at 10am.
