Keep up to date with the latest music interviews, news and reviews here.

Following the success of Piano Bar Shipped, Piano Bar’s new pop-up experience in Werribee and Barwon Heads earlier this year, the team have decided to re-stock the container bar and set themselves up in Melbourne this month, bringing along the unparalleled atmosphere and entertainment that only Geelong’s Piano Bar delivers.

Armed with their trusty renovated shipping container and a sizable marquee, you can expect to see all the things Geelong have come to love about Piano Bar – the dancefloor, the drinks, the food, drags, magicians, vocalists, piano performances, and a number of special guest artists.

As part of the pop up, Piano Bar is running their famed drag extravaganza Pitch Please! on Saturday nights to celebrate RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under, which featured Piano Bar’s very own resident Queen, Art Simone. These exclusive events will feature free screenings of the latest drag race, alongside special drag shows from Art and special guests, music all night from the fabulous Piano Man, and an opportunity to meet the queens.

While Art Simone sashayed away from the series in the second elimination, the Stan series is finally giving Aussie drag the recognition it deserves and that’s definitely something to celebrate.

Alongside the Pitch Please! events, A Taste of Piano Bar will take over Friday nights, complete with four hours of live entertainment from their stellar pianists, vocalists and pop up drag shows from one of their superstar drag queens.

Other special events include The Songs of Matchbox 20 on Sunday May 23, Bitches with Balls – Drag Bingo on Thursday May 27, Kate Daley singing the songs of Fleetwood Mac on Sunday June 6, and the Good Faces 4 Radio team bringing their much loved tribute to ‘The Music of Bon Jovi’ show on Sunday June 13.
