Melbourne’s cosiest mid-week ritual returns with a fresh format showcasing the city’s most intriguing emerging jazz talent. Each Thursday features a tight two-band lineup, delivering intimate performances alongside those legendary cheese-filled toasties that have become something of a cult obsession. Week one kicks off with Damian Carl & The Quaaludes’ smooth stylings paired with Selenic’s experimental sounds, followed by Max Koenig Trio and JERRY taking over week two. Week three sees the enigmatic Kurt Rainbow sharing the bill with Narciso’s boundary-pushing compositions. This is where tomorrow’s jazz titans cut their teeth – all for the princely sum of absolutely nothing.

The series continues with Re_Image returning for a second helping alongside Girl Whatever in week three, before Felix Meridith and Daffaduck close out the month with what promises to be a mind-bending finale.

While she won’t be performing herself, Moon’s carefully crafted lineups promise to take punters on a sonic journey that transforms with each lunar cycle. Get down early to secure your spot – these free sessions won’t stay secret for long.
