Multi-talented drummer G Flip returns to Melbourne for the Dream Ride Tour this February and March.
ARIA Award-winner G Flip will bring their explosive live show to fans across five major cities, including Melbourne, for the Dream Ride Tour.
G Flip has evolved from breakout artist to global sensation through their raw, confessional songwriting and dynamic performances.
The Dream Ride Tour supports G Flip’s upcoming third studio album of the same name, released globally on Friday 5 September 2025. The record promises big pop hooks and even bigger feels. It leans deep into neon-lit ’80s textures while staying rooted in G Flip’s signature style.

G Flip Melbourne fans will know Dream Ride features previously released singles Disco Cowgirl and Big Ol’ Hammer, plus the just released In Another Life. The album represents a bold evolution of G Flip’s sound. It captures their experience as a queer, non-binary artist while drawing inspiration from Bruce Springsteen and late-night drives around Los Angeles.
The Melbourne-born, LA-based artist has coined a new character called Butch Springsteen for this album era. The concept revolves around ’80s-inspired maximalist drums and neon-soaked aesthetics. G Flip plays nearly every instrument on the record, teaming back up with co-writer and producer Aidan Hogg.
The Beaches
Canadian four-piece The Beaches will join G Flip as special guests on all shows, Melbourne that means us too. The Toronto outfit broke the internet in 2023 with their global single Blame Brett. The track clocked over 115 million streams and spent 15 weeks at number one on Alt Radio. The Beaches have earned fans including Mark Hoppus, Demi Lovato, and Nelly Furtado.
The Beaches recently released new single Touch Myself from their upcoming album No Hard Feelings, set for release in August. The band represents more than just music. They’re a movement that’s loud, fearless, and completely in their own lane.
Ayesha Madon
Opening proceedings each night is multi-disciplinary creative Ayesha Madon. Ayesha appears everywhere right now, from radio airwaves and streaming to magazine covers and Logie nominations. Her latest single Jenga showcases her authentic storytelling abilities. Music and songwriting remain at the forefront of her creative output.
Ayesha’s tracks have earned praise around the world. She recently performed at Sydney’s VIVID Festival, captivating fans across the globe. Her authentic storytelling marks a star on the rise.
So, is G Flip any good?
G Flip’s previous album DRUMMER, much loved by Melbourne audiences, achieved massive success in 2023. It debuted at number one on the ARIA Charts and was named best album of the year by triple j. The success established G Flip as one of Australia’s most compelling and boundary-pushing artists.
Back in 2023, Beat Magazine interviewed G Flip just before their DRUMMER tour.
“It’s the day before International Non-Binary People’s Day when I get the chance to interview G Flip.
“About to kick off on their highly anticipated DRUMMER tour, they reflect on being at the forefront of queer, non-binary representation in the mainstream Australian music landscape.
” “When I came out as non-binary, I knew that I’d have to talk about it a lot,” they say. “I knew that there’d be a bit of a responsibility but I’ve always liked public speaking and I like educating people. I was a music teacher before G Flip took off, so for me, it came pretty naturally, to fill that role.”
Is G Flip big in Australia?
Of course! Australian fans get around our homegrown legends, though international fans may know G Flip for their marriage to Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause.
Legendary is right, too, as G Flip proved during that 2023 interview.
“There was no stopping me. When I had a broken hand, I almost found it like a challenge. I wanted to find the most badass drum solo and do it one-handed. So at Splendour, I ripped like a five-minute, six-minute drum solo one-handed and it was so fun.”
““I watched Travis Barker growing up, who’s an idol of mine, he broke his hand and then he did a whole tour with one hand. So as a kid, I’d always practice my set one-handed and teach myself that.””
The Dream Ride Tour represents a homecoming run for the acclaimed singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. Fans can expect G Flip’s most evolved and personal work yet.
Tickets go on sale Monday 21 July at 1pm local time. Early access to the Frontier Presale starts Thursday 17 July at 12pm local time. Fans can sign up for early access via the Frontier Touring website.
