Unhinged, syncopated bass riffs clank throughout Bread, Cheese, Bow And Arrow – a track title that sounds like a Skyrim inventory (instead, it’s the “staple diet of rodents”). Singer Andrew Falkous is as deranged as ever, sounding something like an invigorated Mike Patton as he delivers his acerbically wry lyricisms. The song’s structure is imbued with a sense of the uninhibited, which usually doesn’t work for some. But for Future Of The Left, they’re sounding as dangerous as ever.
