Future Islands have announced an Australian tour for 2023

Future Islands

"Australia and New Zealand – see you next year."

The Baltimore indie-alternative band are back after six years since their last performance Down Under. Future Islands are returning for a series of headline shows across Australia, they’ll be ending their tour with a performance at Melbourne’s own Forum on Febuary 21, 2023.

Future Islands 2023 Tour Dates

  • February 16 – Perth Festival, WA
  • February 18 – Brisbane Powerhouse, QLD
  • February 19, venue to be confirmed Sydney, NSW
  • February 21 – Forum Melbourne, VIC

Their most recent studio album was 2020’s As Long As You Are. “Their sixth studio album As Long As You Are is a refreshing return to form for the Baltimore outfit,” we said about their release back in 2020. “Herring now spends much of his time in a blissful village in rural Sweden – what results is an effervescent celebration of synthesisers and tranquil sonics.”

“On past albums, Future Islands have found their lane and stuck with it vehemently. With As Long As You Are, they have cohesively pulled together all their best traits and evolved them, finding their groove for the first time in six years and delivering an album that shares the same cathartic release as a meditation retreat somewhere rural and serene.”

The presale starts at 10am on Wednesday, November 2 (password: KINGOFSWEDEN)

General release tickets go on sale from 10am, November 3. Find out more by heading here.
