At the Toff, winter means staying up, not staying in, and June is chock-full of music to lure you out. From soulful country sets that go deep to infectious pop from viral social media stars, jazz-funk grooves for dancing, experimental punk throwbacks and steamy Latin house DJs. Every night brings a new vibe, a new crowd and a new reason to be out late.

The spirit of late-70s punk chaos returns for RISING 2025 with a night inspired by the legendary Little Bands scene. Born from the wild minds of Primitive Calculators, Ollie Olsen and Marie Hoy, Little Bands was all about attitude over ability: anyone could jump up and experiment for the sake of sound, with short, sharp sets. Fast forward to now, and Naarm’s own Chapter Music, Liquid Architecture and Cease and Desist are bringing that anything-goes energy back with a stacked lineup spanning punk, indie, noise, jazz and beyond. It’s a one-off revival of this spirit of experimentation.
