American-born blues and jazz legend Robben Ford is on a rare tour all the way Down Under. The five-time Grammy Award nominated muso was named one of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of the 20th Century by Musician Magazine. He’ll be playing his classics and some new tracks ahead of the upcoming release of his new solo album.

A blues award-winner and multiple Grammy nominee, Ruthie Foster brings her gospel-touched southern sound here for two nights at the MEMO Music Hall. Her musical influences range from her mother and grandmother to the gospel and choirs of her community and icons like Blind Boys of Alabama. She’s made a space as a singer-songwriter that’s entirely her own, and recently released a new album, Mileage, on Sun Records. Lloyd Spiegel will join her as an opener on Wednesday night, with Phil and Denzil Para supporting on Thursday.

When you’ve got renowned INXS bassist Gary Beers and vocalist Toby Rand at the helm, you know you can expect pure, high-energy rock from Ashenmoon. Formed in 2019 in Beers’ garage studio, they emerged post-pandemic as a musical powerhouse, with Yohai Portal on guitar and Zak St John on drums. After forming their own label, they’ve released a new single, GodTank, a battle cry about strength and resistance. A night of power, featuring performances from Exile, Caitlin and Tim Rizzoli.
