With only 12 weeks until December (definitely not counting down), summer is finally just around the corner - and so is Palm Tree Music Festival.
This sun-soaked tropical festival is bringing some of the biggest names in electronic music Down Under, with The Chainsmokers and Alesso headlining. Collectively, this lineup is full of hits, here are the 11 tracks we’re most excited about at Palm Tree Music Festival this December.

Something Just Like This – The Chainsmokers ft. Coldplay
Something Just Like This was released in 2017, and features Coldplay. It reached number two on the ARIA chart and number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and was nominated for a Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. We can’t wait to hear this one live!

Heroes (We Could Be) – Alesso ft. Tove Lo
Featuring Tove Lo, this track was released in 2014 and is one of Alesso’s most widely-known songs. With powerful vocals and a huge beat, we know this one will go hard at Palm Tree Music Festival!

Bad Behaviour – Austin Millz
With vocals by Remi Wolf, Bad Behaviour is an insanely catchy song, although it is a little on the slower/sombre side. Being one of Austin Millz’s most-streamed tracks, I’m hopeful it’ll make its way into his set.

Desire – Gryffin
Released in 2015 for the movie We Are Your Friends, this track is a remix of Years & Years’ song by the same name, and is Gryffin’s most-streamed track. In a recent Instagram post, Gryffin shared how this track came to be and revealed that We Are Your Friends’ director Max Joseph was to thank for it being released. We have no doubt that it’ll get played during his sets at Palm Tree!

A Bar Song (Tipsy) [REMIX]- Alesso
The original version of Shaboozey’s A Bar Song has a whopping 600,000,000+ streams, going viral on TikTok this year. With a great beat and a satisfying drop, Alesso’s remix will undoubtedly go off during a live set.

Hide Away – Daya
From her 2016 album Sit Still, Look Pretty, this track was Daya’s debut single and is her most widely-known solo track. Certified platinum, Hide Away peaked at 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached the top 10 in Australia.

THE REASON – Gryffin ft. John Newman
THE REASON is the lead single from Gryffin’s most recent album, PULSE, released in August this year. I’d personally argue that this one is some of Gryffin’s best work, with a fantastic beat, stellar vocals and lyrics and of course a satisfying drop- this is a bop, and what better way to showcase new tunes than to play them live!

Don’t Let Me Down – The Chainsmokers ft Daya
Another 2016 banger by The Chainsmokers, I’d be surprised if there’s a single soul at Palm Tree Music Festival that wouldn’t know this one. With Daya performing also, we can cross our fingers and hope for a live feature.

Buy Low Sell High- Darley
Aussie emerging artist Darley is also going to be taking to the stage at Palm Tree Music Festival, playing one of her biggest crowds to date. The Melbourne native’s 2024 single Buy Low Sell High is racking up streams on Spotify with an insanely catchy melody and a steady beat- it’ll be the perfect track to hype up the crowd.

Don’t Call- Daya
Released in June this year, Don’t Call is the most recent single from Daya. Produced by Sebastian Furrer of Cazzette, the track features a really interesting and frenetic beat, with Daya’s stunning vocals and deeply emotive lyrics. We’d love to see her share some newer music and have high hopes that this one will make its way onto her setlist.

Closer – The Chainsmokers ft. Halsey
One of the most iconic things about 2016 was this banger. Featuring Halsey, Closer truly was (and maybe still is) the song of the summer. Being the first song to spend 26 weeks in the top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, there’s no doubt Chainsmokers will play this massive track.
