Festival highlights include Les Beaux Jours (Brights Days Ahead), Marion Vernoux’s (Love, etc., Empty Days) newest work about an elder woman who embarks on an affair with a much younger man; fashion documentary Mademoiselle C. starring Carine Roitfeld and Karl Lagerfeld; Violette, Martin Provost’s (Seraphine) newest film starring Emmanuelle Devos (Coco Before Chanel, Read My Lips) as revered writer Violette Leduc and Sandrine Kiberlain IThe Women on the 6th Floor) as French feminist and philosopher Simone de Beauvoir; and appearances from celebrated French/Australian entertainer Julia Zemiro (RocKwiz, Conspiracy 365) and comic genius Jacques Tati.
