Freedom Time is back with a killer NYD lineup

Freedom Time is making a habit of revolutionising live electronica. Earlier this year, they introduced a winter edition of the festival for the first time, enveloping stages with a huge marquee to keep everyone cosy and warm.

Before that, the festival welcomed arguably its biggest lineup to the velodrome to kick off 2017 – Theo Parrish, Nick The Record, Harvey Sutherland & Bermuda and Andras were just some of the outrageous names who brought in the new year.

In 2018, Freedom Time’s going huge again bringing the festival to Sydney for the first time where it will take over Manning Bar and its surrounding gardens. The Perth and Melbourne incarnations are back too and will be headlined by none other than pioneering Chicago producer Larry Heard (aka Mr Fingers).

On top of that comes a bevvy of funk and electronic greats including Jamaican legend Johnny Osbourne, with Leroy Burgess, Sassy J, Bradley Zero, Nai Palm, NO ZU, Harvey Sutherland, CC:Disco, Wax’o Paradiso, Sampa The Great, Jordan Rakei and J’Nett also performing.

Other names include the Silentjay & Jace XL Band, Krakatau, 30/70, Prequel, Heartical Hi Powa, Phil Stroud, Samantha Goldie, BIG RIG, Umut, Jeremy Spellacey, Winters, Cazeaux Oslo, Pjenné with Millú rounding it out.
