Grammy Award winning and legendary guitarist, Frank Gambale, is coming to play at Bird’s Basement Tuesday 17th – Saturday 21st September 2024. As the creator of the sweep picking technique and an international guitar educator, Frank will be playing seven shows over five days.
With more than 300 songs published on more than 20 albums, Frank Gambale’s music is eclectic and spans from funk and jazz, to rock and R&B. His innovative playing style has been described as ‘ferocious’ by Rolling Stone magazine. His ALL-STAR band features his Chick Core Electric Band mate Dave Weckl on drums, Dominique DiPiazza ( John McLaughlin ) and Jerry Leonide ( Christopher Cross ) on keyboards.
