Frontier Comedy hosted a comedy showcase last October at iconic Los Angeles comedy club, The Improv on Melrose, to find new comedy superstars to perform live Down Under.
The first of its kind, the performance comprised 14 of the hottest new US comedians submitted by LA’s major comedy agencies and management. Jackson, Ybarra, Broussard and Gailey were selected on a night which featured a special performance from Jim Jefferies.
Jackson was crowned as the Best Of The Fest at the Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival and has appeared on Jefferies’ Legit. Gailey made her late night debut on The Conan O’Brien Show while Ybarra has an established television career, appearing in Gotham and The Goldbergs.
Broussard is Applied Mathematics graduate who has been crowned as Houston’s Funniest Person.
