Footscray Laughs

Laugh the last of winter away with the third rib tickling instalment of Footscray Laughs on Friday 25 August. Hosted by local favourite Sam Gebreselassie, Footscray Laughs returns with a line up of artists known and loved from TV, radio and stage.

Nath Valvo, the award-winning comedian who has won over audiences worldwide, is back from his Edinburgh Fringe show and ready to shake the Footscray stage. Joining him is the sharp-witted Sonia Di Iorio, who has shared the spotlight with Ronny Chieng and Tommy Little. Alex Hines, the hilarious creator of Golden Gibbo award winning show To Schapelle and Back and Matthew Vasquez, whose unique charm and warmth have made him a festival favourite across the country also take to the stage.

Host Sam Gebreselassie, a bold artist behind the mic hailing from Ethiopia via New Zealand, will keep the lolmakers on track as well providing the laughs himself as he tackles the ‘uncomfortable’ topics.

Don’t miss this chance to laugh along with some of the best comedians in the business at Footscray Laughs.

Footscray Laughs is AUSLAN interpreted for members of the hearing impaired and deaf community by highly experienced comedy interpreters and funsters, Marc Ethan and Linda D’Ornay.
